Community Cooperative Living provides a great way for you to get the most from your NDIS Core Support budget because you have the opportunity to optimise shared support with other residents in Your SDA complex; who are like-minded people, who live close by.
Enliven Housing Community Cooperative tenants collectively manage the selection of the support provider who provides the shared on-site support service. The Cooperative decide the extent and type of supports that are to be shared.
Enliven Housing provides housing for people with a range of disabilities, who live in apartment complexes with other members of the wider community
While no two Enliven Housing Cooperatives are identical, because they are shaped and designed by the individual members - they all share three key aspects:
1. Selection and management of the on-site support provider
2. Creating windows of support
3. Off-site or additional resource sharing opportunities
This is not the Concierge model, the support is not on call emergency support, it is actually participant directed shared ratios of support that have been agreed to optimise your NDIS Plan core support budgets. This is not a SIL model, we are not submitting a Roster of Care through a SIL provider quote. This is a tenant controlled support cooperative and to our understanding, the first of its kind.
