Belmore Group Home is a two storey townhouse on a quiet corner block in North Parramatta. Prosperity Health, a registered NDIS provider directed by a Registered Nurse, offers Supported Independent Living (SIL), Short Term Accommodation (STA) and Medium Term Accommodation (MTA).
The home is set up for a maximum of three participants, each with their own bedroom. The first floor office is kept as the staff room and overnight sleepover room.
Everything on one level for a wheelchair user
One bedroom is on the ground floor, on the same level as the accessible bathroom, kitchen, dining, living and laundry, so there is no need to use the stairs during the day.
- Level entry and smooth tiled floors through the ground floor, with no thresholds
- Doorways with at least 850 mm clear opening at the entry, ground floor bathroom and ground floor bedroom
- The ground floor bedroom takes an electric hospital bed, a mobile lifter and an over bed table, with clear space on both sides, plus a full length built in robe
- Large ground floor bathroom with grab rails and a central floor waste. Shower screens are removed at our cost before a wheelchair user moves in, for an open, level shower area
Inside the home
- Three bedrooms, one on the ground floor and two on the first floor
- Three bathrooms and a separate laundry
- Open kitchen with stainless steel appliances and an island bench, beside the dining and living area
- Ducted air conditioning, a 65 inch television, three stage filtered water and a garage with internal access
Outside
- Private paved backyard with an outdoor lounge, reached without a step from the living area
Support
Support staff are in the home 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and management is on call around the clock. Staffing is set to each participant's assessed need. Our own wheelchair accessible van is used for appointments, family visits and outings. We support people with high support needs, psychosocial disability, dementia and complex behaviours.
Location
Minutes to Westfield Parramatta, parks and the light rail, and close to Westmead Hospital and the Parramatta medical precinct.
Moving in
Co-residents are matched carefully, and we will not place someone where the fit is wrong for either person. A walk through, a few visits and a shared meal come before any move. Send us an enquiry through Nest to arrange a walk through, including after hours. Your occupational therapist is welcome to come and measure.
