• You are between 18–64 years of age
• You use a wheelchair
• You have an approved NDIS Plan with Support Coordination and one of the following:
• SDA High Physical Support Apartment (single occupancy) approval
• Investigating Housing Solutions funding
• Goal to change your current housing situation and a review date of your NDIS plan
• You are waiting for NDIS eligibility approval or waiting for plan approval and expect that your plan will include SDA High Physical Support Apartment (single occupancy) or Investigating Housing Solutions funding.
• You have a connection with Ryde such as you live in Ryde already or you have family, informal supports, employment or other supports in Ryde
• You have a need for housing design that offers high physical support (accessible) and that has technology and home automation to help you open doors, blinds, etc. and, to call someone in an emergency.
• You can live in close proximity to others in an apartment building and are happy to share lifts, car park areas and entry foyers.
• You need support with you for a significant part of the day
• You are able to spend time alone, but need back-up support immediately available (on-site but not in your apartment)
• You want to do more things as independently as you can:
• You agree to use some of your NDIS funding to contribute to the 24-hour shared on-site concierge support provided by a SIL Provider
• You agree to sign a tenancy agreement and pay rent of 25% of the Disability Support Pension plus any entitlement to Commonwealth Rent Assistance.
