Peakhurst Heights

Our lovely double storey home has a comfortable open plan living area with a covered outdoor bbq area. This home is close to all the parklands in the St George region and is a short drive to the Georges River National Park. You would have 24/7 support staff to assist you with your activities of daily living, and the home has a vehicle that can provide support to your daily appointments, placements and work. This home is a short 10 minute drive to Oatley and Mortdale shops and train stations, or is approximately a 15 minute drive to the Hurstville Westfield shopping complex. There is a bus stop just around the corner, with some local shops about a 10 minute walk down the road.

The current housemates live a moderately active lifestyle, both current residents are female and aged between 55 and 65 yrs. One attend supported employment at a local ADE, and the other attends a local day program service. But have individual support times where they go on drives to the local parks and gardens, plus do their personal shopping and medical appointments. One of the residents spends a weekend each month with her brother up the coast. Both current residents like to attend church together each weekend, and they spend loads of time doing cooking and other activities in the house.

Your team will hold monthly house meetings so you can plan shared activities and the all important grocery list for the shared menu items. As we use Active Support principles staff will encourage you to participate in the weekly chores that need doing like helping with the gardening, laundry and grocery shopping.
