Waverley Community Living Program

To live in a WCLP property means

• You will need to meet WCLP's Eligibility Criteria

• You will need to be willing and motivated to accept drop in supports from WCLP to learn independent living skills

• You currently work, looking for employment, or studying

• You have informal supports to assist you to live independently

• You will need to sign a Service Agreement with WCLP

• You will need to sign up to Housing NSW register

• You will need to sign a Residential Tenancy Agreement with Bridge Housing

• You will get weekly supports from WCLP to learn independent living skills such as cooking, paying bills and domestic supports

• You will learn skills to communicate and problem solve tasks and issues with your flat mate

• You have a current NDIS Plan with CB Home or CB Social and Community funding

• One of your NDIS goals is to move out of home and live independently

Our application and assessment process

• You will have to fill out an independent living skills assessment form.

• WCLP will assess your skills and support needs for independent living.

• You will need informal supports to assist you with your transition to independent living.

What we expect from you

• When you apply for a vacancy with WCLP, we expect you to show a willingness and motivation to go through the assessment.

• We need you to be open and flexible throughout this time

• This includes looking at what kind of supports you need and what supports we can provide.

• If you are a suitable we will work with you to create a transition plan to move into our property.

What you can expect from us

• WCLP will assess whether we are a suitable service for you

• WCLP will provide you with feedback on your suitability.

• This is not a quick process as we want to make sure we are a suitable provider for you.

• We will work with the current tenant to decide the most suitable person to share the accommodation

• Not all applications will be successful since there is only 1 bedroom available for rent.
