Who it suits
A man between 45 and 65 who wants company and a full week rather than a quiet one. Funded under SIL. ILO and MTA arrangements can also be considered. A meet and greet with the current residents happens before anything is confirmed, and a compatibility assessment is completed before supports are approved.
What it would not suit
The house sits close to a neighbour, so it is not the right home for someone with frequent loud vocalisations. There is no ceiling hoist. If either of those rules your participant out, we would rather say so now than three weeks into a referral.
Getting around
There is a bus stop on Cobham Street, Marayong train station is close by, and Blacktown Hospital and Marayong Medical Centre are both a short drive. Quakers Court at Quakers Hill covers the shopping, and Nurragingy Reserve and the local parks are good for getting outdoors.
Rent
The rent you will pay is equivalent to 25% of the Disability Support Pension, plus Commonwealth Rent Assistance.
