Application Criteria
Tenants must have SDA funding to be eligible and will be required to pay $255 p.w. (25% of disability pension + Commonwealth Rent Assistance).
The SDA provider, together with the SIL provider, will assist with the tenant matching process. We recognise the importance of finding compatible housemates and therefore encourage property viewings, as well as meet-and-greets between prospective residents.
Tenants have choice and control regarding their Supported Independent Living (SIL) provider. In most cases, the first participant to occupy the property is supported by their chosen SIL provider, who then becomes the incumbent provider delivering support services within the home. If the tenants collectively decide they wish to engage a different SIL provider, we can assist with the transition process, including coordinating with the outgoing and incoming providers to support a smooth changeover.
